    Ummm – did you mux the audio differently this time? Is it a different codec?

    I have 5.1 speakers. Now, these releases are generally 2 channel audio but I have an X-Fi Prelude Sound Card that can expand 2 channel audio into 5.1 audio very very nicely. This has worked for every release to date.

    This release however, makes my rear speakers crackle. O>O
    I went back, and played Ep 19 again – and it works fine. But Ep 20 is weird. :-/

    Are you using Logitech Matrix or Creative Crystal to split the audio stream into 5.1?

    Using Matrix my rear channels sound a little weird with this ep, so maybe that’s it?

    This episode uses different audio codec/compression. Its fairly clear.

    ffdshow audio decoder does not turn on while watching the episode, but I can still play it fine and hear the audio.

    But, like I said before –

    Audio is Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo.

    You can use ffdshow internal audio output to configure Dolby AC3 sound to 5.1 output.

    You may need to install AC3Filter separately if you want more configuration options, but ffdshow has its own AC3/DTS decoder for you to configure.

    For those using CCCP, or ffdshow, make sure you configure ffdshow to decode AC3 in order to hear and configure the sound for this episode.

    If using CCCP:
    Start -> CCCP -> Filters -> ffdhow Audio Decoder -> Select Codecs in the left -> Choose AC3 -> Set Decoder to liba52 (or whatever is there) if you are using analog speakers (e.g. 2.1, 5.1 speakers to your sound card or O/B sound or SPDIF if you have optical out to an external receiver or speakers.

    Optionally you can disable the decoder if you intend to use AC3Filter to handle AC3/DTS/MPEG audio configuration, decoding, and output.

    Overall for Grunty to sing Japanese song until like that, it is very impressive for a foreigner. It is harder to sing in Japanese than talk in Japanese. Vocal very challenging!
