   I have noobish question. How would I incorporate the script into the video file after I convert the .mkv to .avi? Would you post a quick tutorial for it?

   Not sure what you’re asking for. Do you want to hardsub (put the subtitles into) the .avi? The easy option is to just load the script while the .avi is playing, but if you want to play it with subs on something else, like 360/PS3/other Xvid capable player, you’ll have to hardsub the subtitles onto the .avi.

   Basically, you’ll have to reencode the .avi with the subtitles overlayed which requires some (not much, though) effort. I don’t have a guide on me at the moment. The easiest way would be to just get the xvid-gSS releases. I’m not sure what the quality is like and they do cut out the OP and EDs, but it’s the simplest method.

   Thanks! I wanted to play your version on my PS3, but obviously Sony doesn’t install codex into it, which I don’t think it’s that hard.

   If you want to learn more about trying to do mkv to a PS3-compatible format, this thread might be helpful to you.

   PS3s can play h264 videos if they are in mp4 format, I believe.

    I’ve never been contacted by the person who re-encodes to XviD so your guess is as good as mine.
